WORCESTER/WEST YARMOUTH – Everett T. "Ev" Harrington, 91, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Willows Health Center of Worcester, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Worcester, son of the late Roy P. and Etta (Myers) Harrington. He graduated from Worcester Academy and attended Boston University. Everett proudly served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. Prior to his retirement, Ev worked as a general manager for Sjogren Tool and as a sales manager for Cumberland Engineering and several manufacturing companies in the area. In his retirement Ev worked part-time for Hy-Line Cruises In Hyannis for 26 years finally retiring for a second time at the age of 87. Ev was a 60 year member and 32nd Degree Mason of the Rufus Putnam Lodge in Rutland. Everett was a resident of West Yarmouth for 41 years, where he forged many special friendships and enjoyed the time he spent with his fellow seniors at the Senior Center. He was also a member of the Greendale Retired Men's Club, Worcester. Upon returning to Worcester and settling at The Willows at Worcester where he enjoyed his time spent with his fellow residents.

His beloved wife of 66 years, R. Marjorie (Bellis) Harrington died in 2012. He will be dearly missed by his three children, Dorothy Dawson of Sterling, Cathy D'Elia and her husband, Ralph of Worcester and Mark Harrington and his wife, Virginia of Belleview, FL; his two granddaughters, Corrie D'Elia and Haleigh Harrington, as well as his great grandson, Nicholas D'Elia. He also leaves a niece, a nephew and many close and loving friends. In addition to his wife, Ev was predeceased by his daughter, Janet A. Harrington and his grandchildren, Jamie Campbell and Harry E. Dawson and his companion, Eunice Koontz.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful Willows Health Center staff and the Salmon VNA and Hospice staff for their dedicated service and special care. The family would also like to thank the residence and staff of the Willows for their care and support.
Family and friends are invited to visit with Everett's family on Saturday, December 15th from 10-11 a.m. at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. A Life Celebration Memorial Service and a Masonic Ritual will follow at 11 a.m. Burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton will be private.
