WORCESTER- Frances A. (Wood) Marlborough, 75, a lifetime resident of Worcester, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2015 at her home after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family at her side.

Born on January 11, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Katherine (Donahue) Wood. Her husband James Marlborough predeceased her in 1962. She is survived by two sons, James Michael and Gary Francis, and the sunshine of her life, her granddaughter Taylor Rose Marlborough. She also leaves four sisters, Katherine Sullivan, Jean Clark, Mary Fox and Madeleine Wood and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother Robert J. Wood and a sister Dorothy Wyne.

Frances worked for the Mass Turnpike Authority until she retired in 1995. She called herself a "Roaming Catholic" visiting many churches around the hills of Worcester. Her lifelong joys were doing things for her two sons and doing good deeds for others, along with shopping for sales and worrying about people she loved.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Fran's life at Lindquist Lundin Funeral Home, 36 Butler Street, Worcester on Monday, October 26 from 4-8 PM. Her funeral mass of celebration will take place on Tuesday, October 27 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart-St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 600 Cambridge Street, Worcester.

Fran's family is encouraging those who wish to honor their mom's memory to pay it forward and do a good deed for someone else. Flowers may be sent or donations may be made to Make-A-Wish America, 4742 N. 24th Street, Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85016-4862 or visit www.massri.wish.org.
