WEST BOYLSTON/WORCESTER-Joseph E. Cavanaugh, 66 of Worcester, formerly of West Boylston passed away Sunday, January 23 at home.

He leaves five siblings Paula A. Grady of Holden; Donald R. Cavanaugh and his husband Taylor E. Stevens of Lake Worth, FL; Mame H. Dowjat of Worcester, Tedi M. Musgrove of Princeton and his twin-sister Colleen M. Triola and her husband Michael of Worcester; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was born in Holden, son of Paul S. and Mary R. (Morrison) Cavanaugh.

Joey attended the Mercy Center from the age of seven, graduating from their academic program and was part of their workshop program which he attended until recently. He made many lifelong friends there. Joey loved his summers on the Cape and enjoyed traveling and meeting people. Wherever he went he made friends and he loved nothing more than a good cheeseburger and Diet Coke when out to dinner. He was a member of Saint Christopher's Church and possessed a strong faith and love of God. Joey was an avid fan of all of the New England Sports teams, especially his beloved Red Sox. He collected baseball hats and enjoyed each new one given to him by many different family members and friends. Joey was loved by many and will be forever missed by those whose lives he touched.

A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, January 27 at 10 AM in Saint Christopher's Church, 950 West Boylston St., Worcester. The family ask that Covid Precautions be adhered to in church.
